Las Vegas

Las Vegas Nevada is the entertainment capital of the world, also known as Sin City, due to the popularity of legalized gambling, availability of alcoholic beverages at any time and various forms and degrees of adult entertainment. You will either love it or hate it. It's a place like no other, tacky, preposterous and outrageous. You will find it all here.

Las Vegas was founded by the Spanish in the 1800's and served as a stopover on the pioneer trails to the west, and became a popular railroad town in the early 1900s. Legalization of gambling in 1931 resulted in the the development of the casino-hotels for which Las Vegas is famous.

Unless you are a high roller 3 nights should be enough to take it all in. If you can afford it stay in the Bellagio. Take in as many of the casino-hotels on the Strip as you can, all have there own theme and attractions. Explore ancient Egypt at the Luxor, tour the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or take a gondola ride in Venice's Grand Canal at the Venetian. There is cheap public transport available, bus and monorail. Walking is not really an option because of the heat or the cold and the sheer size of the hotels.

Weddings - Las Vegas is one of the easiest places in the world to tie the knot.
